APIA: 9 Nov 2009 - The National Bank Of Samoa has introduced Samoa's first text banking service now available to its customers using the GoMobile network anywhere in Samoa.
The Chief Executive Officer, Fuimaono Malcolm Johnston, said this state of art technology is also available to SamoaTel customers on the GoMobile network, and NBS customers from all over Samoa can access this service with their GoMobile phone.
The service costs 40 cents in total which is cheaper for Go Mobile users. Fuimaono says that all transactions are secure as customers are required to pre – register their phones with NBS to use the service.
Registered customers can check their balance and transfer money which saves a lot of time and travel. The service gets on line today after the agreemet was signed last Friday by the General Manager for the Business and Consumer Division of Samoatel, Mark Wlliams and Fuimaono Malcolm Johnston.
