FAST Withdraws Case against Peseta Vaifou Tevaga

APIA, SAMOA – 22 APRIL 2021: The Fa’atuatua I le Atua Samoa ua Tasi – FAST party has withdrew its legal case against the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) member Peseta Vaifou Tevaga.

FAST lawyer Mauga Precious Chang said their application for a withdrawal was based on “wrong information provided to my client.”

The first respondent which is the Attorney General’s Office had already lodged a strike out motion and did not object to the withdrawal application but asked for the matter to be dismissed.

Peseta’s lawyer Afa Lesa also did not object and asked for costs.

Presiding Judge Fepulea’i Ameperosa Roma dismissed the case and for all parties to cover their own costs.
