APIA, SAMOA – 17 FEBRUARY 2022:  The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Auapaau Logoitino Filipo has confirmed that a criminal complaint has been filed against the Samoa Tourism Authority Chief Executive Officer, Suifua Fa’amatuainu Lenatai.

Auapaau said the complaint is being investigated before charges are finalized.

The complaint was lodged on Tuesday by one of STA’s employees, Kerisimasi Melani Tunufa’i who claimed the CEO had threatened and issued harsh words to shame him in front of other staff members.

Kerisimasi is one of the complainants who have written to the Minister of Tourism Toeolesulusulu Cedric Schuster and later to the Minister for Public Enterprises Leatinu’u Wayne Sooialo.

Leatinu’u is calling a meeting with the Samoa Tourism Board after allegations against the CEO were reported in the media early this week.
