Samoa Tourism CEO Charged

APIA, SAMOA – 15 MARCH 2022: Police have charged the Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Tourism Authority, Suifua Faumuina Afereti Suifua with issuing insulting words against an employee of the tourism sector.

The incident happened in December 2021 as the complainant and others were setting up lights and preparations for the end of the year firework show.

The complainant is one of several STA employees who lodged complaints with the Minister regarding the treatment they received from the accused.

The CEO is currently suspended while an investigation is carried out on several complaints against him.
