APIA, SAMOA – 21 MARCH 2022: The Acting Director General of Health, Tagaloa Dr. Robert Thomsen has assured the country that there is sufficient oxygen supply to cater for the country at this time of the Covid-19 crisis.

Tagaloa has positive news that the Ministry of Health is looking at commissioning its new Oxygen Plant to meet local health needs very soon.

Two overseas engineers brought in to commission the Plant have just served their time in quarantine and are now working on the Plant that should be operational either by the end of the week or early next week.

According to Tagaloa, the new Oxygen plant can produce 100 cylinders a day compared to the 30 to 40 cylinders capacity of the old plant.

Oxygen is a much needed ingredient for COVID-19 especially those with respiratory issues, other than normal and daily patient’s health requirements.
