COVID UPDATE: Latest Active Cases Hit 262

APIA SAMOA – 22 MARCH 2022: The latest figures released by NEOC last night, recorded 262 active cases. The data is dated 20 March.

66 new community cases were recorded in the last 24hrs, bringing the total number of cumulative community cases to 247.

In addition to the 247 community cases, 15 imported cases linked to the NZ 0990 repatriation flight on 06 March 2022, continue to be monitored in isolation, bringing a combined total of 262 active COVID-19 cases.

The Ministry of Health confirms a total of 1,510 tests were carried out as at 12 PM Monday 21 March 2022 at seventeen (17) designated COVID-19 screening sites, including health facilities.

The Ministry of Health has identified a total of 428 close contacts of these cases and are under investigation.
