APIA, SAMOA – 24 APRIL 2022: Acting Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo has confirmed an investigation into allegations of police’s failure to respond to a domestic incident last night.

The post said when the police were called for help, the response was to wait until tomorrow (Sunday).

In the meantime, the Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) has stepped in to assist the abused mother who was allegedly beaten by members of her husband’s family.

SVSG responded after a photo of the woman with bruises on her face went viral on social media, and according to SVSG President Siliniu Lina Chang, the team is on the case.

She said the mother and her three young children will be sheltered at the Campus of Hope after their medical checks and until everything is sorted out.
