About the Facility: The Samoa Tautua Human Development for All Facility (formerly known as the Human Development and Social Inclusion facility – HDSI) intends to deliver Australia’s commitments in the latter phase of the Samoa COVID-19 Development Response Plan (2020-22) (CRP) and then help build the human development foundations required for Samoa’s health security, economic recovery, and continued stability thereafter. The Facility will focus on five Pillars: Education, Health, Gender, Disability, and Social Protection.

About the Role:
The MEL Coordinator will work alongside the Tautua operational and technical teams to ensure effective MEL and progress reporting in the implementation of Tautua – human development for all. The MEL Coordinator is directly responsible for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) aspects of Tautua and is guided by the MEL Advisor.
Required Qualifications:

  • Tertiary degree in social sciences, development or other analytics field plus 5 years of experience (mandatory)
  • Must have experience in quantitatively analysing MEL data and synthesising findings for programmatic use (mandatory)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (required) and at least one other statistical package such as: R, SAS, STATA, or SPSS (preferred)
  • Knowledge of MEL methods and approaches, as learned through coursework, internship, or work experience (preferred)
