Women’s Church Charity Group donate to Health services

APIA, SAMOA – 27 SEPTEMBER 2022: The Congregational Christian Church Womens Charity Fellowship, Tautua mo Tagata Puapuagatia (TPT) has again donated to various health services in Samoa.

The Womens Group are gathering for the annual general conference of the Church at Malua and presented $70,000 tala to the Minister of Health, Valasi Luapitoifanua To’ogamaga Tafito Selesele.

In presenting the donation, President of TPT, Teki Uilelea named the health services the funds were donated.

  • $10,000 for health services at the National Hospital, Moto’otua,
  • $10,000 for health services in Savai’i hospitals,
  • $30,000 for the National Kidney Foundation (N.K.F.) Moto’otua,
  • $20,000 for the National Kidney Foundation (N.K.F.) Tuasivi, Savai’i.

The Minister of Heath acknowledged the donation which is not the first time the group has made annually during the church’s annual conference.

Due to lifestyle, there has been a stiff growth of cases of dialysis patients being treated at the National Kidney Foundation prompting the establishment of a second facility in Savaii to cater for the concerning growth of cases in the most productive age group of the local population.
