Two policemen wounded in raid, 3 suspects on the run

3 suspects wanted by police for weekend incident at Salelavalu village.

APIA, SAMOA – 04 OCTOBER 2022: Samoa Police is appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the arrest of these individuals wanted as a result of the incident at Salelavalu village where two officers were wounded during a police raid last Saturday.

Police reported that the Tuasivi police outpost received a call from a Salelavalu villager about a marijuana plantation in the village.

While police approached the area, one of the suspects opened fire and wounded two police officers who were treated at Tuasivi hospital and later discharged.

Police have posted the photos and names of the wanted suspects as Apisaloma Setu aka Sula Setu, a male of Salelavalu and Satupaitea villages;  Manuia Lafaele aka Manuia Tanuvasa or Manu Lafaele, a male of Salelavalu and Masina Lega Taulelei aka Ti’ata Masina Lega Taulelei of Salelavalu and Salailua.

Police is acknowledging the support of the village who are now assisting the police in search of the suspects.
