APIA, SAMOA – 08 NOVEMBER 2022: Police have charged a man in his mid-fifties for allegedly bashing a student with a timber close to the old Savalalo market last weekend.

The man was identified in a social media footage hitting a St. Joseph’s College student with a timber followed by a punch on the face by another male.

At the same time, another St. Joseph pupil was being beaten by other men within the same vicinity as no one in the crowd tried to stop the attack.

The Acting Deputy Police Commissioner, Afamasaga Samuelu confirmed that Brown has been charged and released to await his court hearing.

Meanwhile, the police are keeping a close eye on students and people who were involved in the school brawl between Leififi and St. Joseph’s College students that started earlier last week.

The two students were attacked the following weekend.
