APIA, SAMOA – 31 JANUARY 2023: Cabinet has suspended the Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Labour, Pulotu Lyndon Chu Ling and Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Tofilau Mathew Alesana.

The Cabinet came to the decision Monday this week after a review of the Regional Seasonal Employment (RSE) scheme.

Both senior officers are suspended as the Public Service Commission investigates the 15 January 2023 RSE flight that departed Samoa despite Cabinet’s decision to suspend all RSE flights until Cabinet has looked at the Sub-Committees review report on the program.
