Police Senior Sergeant suspended & charged

APIA, SAMOA – 09 FEBRUARY 2023: A police senior sergeant has been charged with assault and is suspended pending her appearance in Court.

The complainant is another police officer who claimed the Senior Sergeant assaulted him.

The incident with which the sergeant has been charged happened last year.

In a press conference yesterday, the Commissioner of Police, Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo could not give specific answers as to why it took so long for the Senior Sergeant to be charged.
