Police arrest five in drug raid at Toamua-uta

APIA, SAMOA – 09 MAY 2023: Five people are in police custody following a police raid of a residence at Toamua-uta in the weekend.

Police arrested 3 males and 2 females who are awaiting their appearance in Court.

Police confiscated illicit narcotics suspected to be methamphetamine, marijuana, firearms, cash and electronic devices from the raid.

Samoa Police & Prison Correction Services is again reminding the public that drug related offences are serious crimes with severe health consequences.

“Drug use affects the safety net family provides to the vulnerable, especially young children. SPPCS will continue to take a proactive approach in combating drug-related activities in Samoa,” the police said.

The raid operation was a team effort of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the police Tactical Operation Section (TOS).
