Lemalu Selesitina Meni – Reti is the new Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa National Provident Fund

APIA, SAMOA – 23 JUNE 2023: Cabinet has announced the appointment of Lemalu Selesitina Meni – Reti as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa National Provident Fund (SNPF).

Lemalu’s career has mainly been in the area of financial management and she returns to the fund where she worked as Manager Finance between 2001 and 2007.

Lemalu brings to the SNPF a wealth of financial management experience having worked in the public sector in Samoa and international and regional organisations.

She worked at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, Fiji as the Financial Development Officer for three years, before taking up the role of Internal Auditor for SPREP from 2012 to 2019.

Lemalu holds a Master in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Management from the University of the South Pacific as well as a Diploma in Public Sector Management from Massey University, New Zealand.

She is currently a Board Director of Samoa Trust & Estates Corporation and a former Board Director of the Samoa Land Corporation.

A chief of Savaia, Lefaga, Lemalu is also active in village affairs as the Government’s Representative for women – Sui Tina ma Tamaita’i, a full time farmer and is the Treasurer of the Samoa Federated Farmers Incorporated since inception in 2015.

Her appointment as CEO of the National Provident Fund is for three years.
