Businessman donates playground to Children at the Campus of Hope

Part of the playground equipment donated by businessman Tu’itu’ioaiga Teeking Weng to the children at the Campus of Hope.

APIA, SAMOA – 21 AUGUST 2023. A 3-piece playground equipment and accessories have added to the playground infrastructure at the Campus of Hope, thanks to the generosity of the DMC Restaurant and Coin Save owner, and an avid supporter of SVSG, Tu’itu’ioaiga Teeking Weng.

The playground caters for children 2 – 5 years old cared for at the shelter for abused and vulnerable children, inclusive of children with disabilities.

The donation came during the SVSG Saving Lives Fundraising Event; and have added to the in kind, financial and advocacy support by the businessman, specifically for SVSG’s work with children.

The children of hope have also been treated as guests at the DMC restaurants during special occasions such as the Festive Season. The Fiafia Park have been booked out for the children just so that they can enjoy themselves in safety.  They even have the children’s meals delivered to the Campus during holidays, including bulk supplies of French fries and snacks, as their way of cheering them up.

For health and wellbeing, hair stylists and medical teams from China have been brought to the Campus through the advocacy role of Tu’itu’ioaiga Teeking Weng, for the children of hope.

SVSG President, Siliniu Lina Change as acknowledged the kind donation. “While the playground, financial and advocacy support have added to the contribution of the businessman and his family towards the Campus of Hope, it is the impact of this giving to the beneficiaries of this work, that speaks volume of this family’s generosity,” said Siliniu.
