New equipment adds value to Campus of Hope facility

Apia, Samoa – 11 September 2023 – A container load of equipment, a trailer and various donations have added value to the Campus of Hope shelter facility for abused children, under the care of the Samoa Victim Support Group.

The donation highlights the extensive network of supporters that the local organizations have developed over its 18 years of service.

Through the partnership with the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints Charities, the Pacific Assist and the Community Connect, equipment such as washing machine, stove, television, weed eaters and many other necessities, to ensure that the shelter remains fully equipped to cater for the children’s daily caring.

A trailer with sporting equipment has got the Campus of Hope printed on it, which will facilitate the transportation of the children’s sporting equipment during their outing activities.

With the Campus being the only care centre available in Samoa for abused children and women, SVSG is appreciative of the love and support from the communities here and abroad, towards its sustainability.

The SVSG President, Siliniu Lina Chang acknowledged the kind donations.

“Thank you to the Chair and the Directors of Pacific Assist New Zealand, through Callum Blair, for inspiring self-reliance in the partnership with SVSG. Your sincerity towards helping SVSG support the children of hope have encouraged us with our work,” said Siliniu Lina Chang.
