SROS signs collaborative partnership with the University of New Castle

Apia, Samoa – 13 September 2023: The Scientific Research Organisation of Samoa (SROS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a collaborative partnership with the University of New Castle for both parties to work together to progress areas of mutual interest.

The MOU was signed on 6 September 2023 by the SROS Chairman, Sulamanaia Montini Ott and representatives of the University to provide technical support to SROS in the design, planning, delivery, and monitoring of capacity development courses and other relevant cooperation-related work through research design and the development of educational material.

The partnership will also establish scientific cooperation in areas of mutual interest, mutual exchange of scientific information; publications, and pursuing educational research purposes as well as other materials including education.

Mutual cooperation in the design, development and implementation of joint research, capacity development and pilot projects and programmes and to promote cooperation in joint training of SROS staff through joint management of Masters and PhD programmes.
