Petrol Prices up again for November

Apia, Samoa – 01 November 2023: Petroleum products prices continue to climb for November with Petrol up by 8.4 sene per litre from $3.43 to $3.52; Diesel increases by 14.5 sene per litre from $3.68 to $3.83 and Kerosene up by 17.8 sene a litre from $3.29 to $3.47.

A statement from the Minister of Finance says the November prices are based on Singapore market prices (MOPS) for September.

It also says ongoing concerns regarding the Russian Ukraine war and OPEC+ continuing to control crude oil supplies have led to further increases in both crude oil and refined products prices.

Other contributing factors include further increases in Singapore Prices (MOPS), freight rates and weakening of the Samoan tala against the US dollar which has resulted in higher landed costs.
