Fuel Prices down further for February

Apia, Samoa – 01 February 2024: The Minister of Finance has announced new Petroleum prices that have decreased further for February.

Petrol decreases by 2.7 sene from $3.15 last month to $3.12; diesel decreases by 6.0 sene per litre from $3.38 in January to $3.32 and kerosene by 2.4 sene from $3.00 to $2.98.

The Samoa February prices apply from 01 – 29 February 2024 and are based on December MOPS market prices.

The Minister of Finance says Crude Oil and Refined Product Prices continued to decrease in December in spite of OPEC+ reducing crude oil supply and global concerns regarding the impact of the Hamas/Israel conflict. Houthi militant’s attacks on shipping in the Red Sea have resulted in higher freight costs.
