Apia, Samoa – 11 July 2024 – Manu Samoa Head Coach, Mase Mahonri Schwalger, has made five changes to the 23-lineup to play Spain at Apia Park on Saturday.
Murphy Taramai will debut at openside flanker with Sevens speedstar Owen Niue to start on the wing.
Dynamo halfback Melani Matavao will start and partner with Alai D’angelo Leuila to direct play from behind the scrum with Ereatara Enari coming in on the bench. Stacey Ili will start at center, while Pisi Leilua will debut from the bench.
This is the second test under Mase Mahonri Schwalger’s tenure, and the team has been preparing well, coming off a solid win last week over Tier 1 opponents, Italy.
