Manu Samoa Head Coach suspended following criminal charges

Apia, Samoa – 04 October 2024 – Lakapi Samoa has suspended Manu Samoa Head Coach – Mase Mahonri Schwalger, effective immediately, following the filing of criminal charges against him last week.

In a statement today, Lakapi Samoa said the Board resolution was made on 30 September 2024, and the decision will be reviewed in three months. Coach Schwalger will continue on full pay during this period.

“We respect the legal process and Lakapi Samoa will not be making any further comment as the matter is before the Court,” said the statement.

Mase was charged last week and is facing multiple sex allegations and is set to appear in Court on 04 November.
