Tongan man wanted by Police

Apia, 06 November 2024 – The Samoa Police, Prisons, and Corrections Services (SPPCS) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with cattle thefts in Salelologa, Savai’i.

In a statement posted on their social page, Police name the suspect as Nicky Funaki, a 38 year old male, originally from Tonga and resides in Salelologa with his partner and has no family ties in Samoa.

Police also say the Transnational Crime Unit (TCU) has confirmed the suspect remains within the country.

SPPCS is urging the public to report any sightings of this individual to the nearest police station or contact the Police directly.

SPPCS also reminds the public that it is a criminal offense to knowingly harbor a wanted person.

The SPPCS is also encouraging the suspect to surrender himself at the nearest police station.
