Court suppress name of complainant against suspended Manu Samoa Coach

Apia, Samoa – 11 October November 2024 – Court has granted the Prosecution application to suppress the name of the complainant against the suspended Manu Samoa Coach, Mase Mahonri Schwalger.

Mase appeared in Court today to set a hearing date for the two charges against him which he has pleaded not guilty to.

The hearing is set for April 2025.

Prosecution applied for a suppression order against the publication of the complainants’ name.

Defence counsel Taimalelagi Leinafo Strickland said given the nature of the offences, she was not opposing the application.

Mase is facing two sex offence charges and was suspended as Head Coach in September after the charges against him were filed with the police.
