SVSG’s 20th Anniversary Celebrations Begin
Apia, Samoa – 06 May 2025 – The celebrations for the Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) 20th Anniversary kicked off today with the Impromptu Speech Competition held at the Tooa Salamasina Hall, Sogi.
Opened for Primary and Secondary schools, the competition was an inspiring morning of powerful voices from our young people, speaking with confidence and heart on issues that matter.
- The Speakers chose the following topics in English or Samoan that relate to the work of SVSG.
1. Family is Safe Haven for a Child. E tatau ona Saogalemu le Tamaititi i lona Aiga.
2. Love should not hurt. E le saua le Alofa.
3. A Father is a Family Protector Not a Perpetrator. O le Tamā o le Malu o le Aiga ae le o se Tagata na te faia Sauaga (fa’a-solitulafono).
4. Let’s put an End to Violence Now! Ia fa’agata nei Sauaga! - The Prize Winners
