Prime Minister meet Israeli’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
Apia, Samoa – 24 October 2025 – Prime Minister, Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Polataivao met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel – Sharren Miriam Haskel-Harpaz at the Fale o Samoa, Auckland, New Zealand yesterday, Thursday 23 October 2025.
Also attending the meeting were Samoa’s Consul General, Afemata Palusalue Faapo 11 and Trade Commissioner Vaatuitui Apete Meredith.

Among the issues discussed, was technical training for Samoan agricultural students through Israel’s MASHAV’s International Agricultural Training Center – that specializes in human capacity building, transfer of knowledge and professional support in the fields of agriculture, water management, environment and rural development.
Israel’s Deputy Minister indicated that up to 20 places for Samoan students can be made available in the next intake with the program providing boarding and food and the student to pay the airfares.
The Prime Minister who is under medical observation in Auckland following surgery is expected to be back in Samoa early next month.
