13 Revoked Board Vacancies Being Readvertised
Apia, Samoa – 25 November 2025 – Thirteen (13) vacancies for Board Members of various State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) have been readvertised.
This follows the revocation of the appointments made by the Caretaker Government on 12 September, a few days before the new government was sworn in on 16 September 2025.
The revocation is based on the advice by the Attorney General that looked at the legality of the appointments under the caretaker convention.
The available 13 Board Members vacancies are for nine (9) State Owned Enterprises and most positions became vacant when the former Board Members resigned to run in the August 2015 general elections.
The positions are open to Samoan citizens 21 years and over and conditions and eligibility requirements for the vacancies are being advertised and the final selection will be carried out by the Independent Selection Committee.
The vacancies are also open to those who were previously appointed to reapply.
