Apia, Samoa – 27 November 2025LIFE-Con Pacific, Samoa’s leading fashion and Art platform, is finalising preparations for its highly anticipated Season 8, happening this weekend Friday 28th and Saturday 29th.

Designed specifically as a dedicated marketing avenue for the creative industry, LIFE-Con shines a spotlight on Samoan and Pacific talents in art, design and fashion, celebrating the region’s creative and cultural heritage.

Over the years, the event has attracted designers from across the Pacific, with the strong regional presence expected again this season, adds Director and Founder Leiataulesā Va’agi Kevin Lucky.

“Furthermore, LIFE-Con Pacific is a Pacific-based platform for Pacific fashion to showcase our stories, arts and crafts, woven in designs and creativity of our own artists. This labour of love has given birth to the key focus of the event particularly boosting LIFE-Con stakeholders’ businesses  from the start, and is a testament of success to survive her Season 8”, says Leiataualesā Kevin, the creator of the platform.

Consistency has always been central to LIFE-Con’s vision, ensuring the event’s sustainability and purpose. This approach has guided the coordination and production of the platform since its inception in 2017 earning positive feedback from participants and audiences alike.

For Season 8, there are 10 designers from Samoa, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and the Samoan Australian community that will showcase their latest collections across the two-day event. More than 150 fashion pieces are expected to feature on the runway. For the first time, LIFE-Con is also extending its platform to selected market vendors, recognizing their longstanding presence in the creative space. These vendors are receiving coaching and support to elevate their participation and ensure their contributions are valued and visible at the expected LIFE-Con standards.

The art component will take on an expanded focus this year, with six locally based artists—Samoan, Taiwanese American and American—preparing works for an exhibition feature on the first night. They will be joined by Project Rehab in Art, an initiative of Tanumalala Prison that equips young inmates with creative skills as part of their rehabilitation pathway.

Season 8 will also introduce a new feature: an Editorial Review Panel showcased during the Finale. This segment will deliver live commentary and critiques of the collections, providing an engaging way to highlight the meaning, impact and audience connection behind each designer’s work.

LIFE-Con Pacific extends its appreciation to all supporters over the years. The event’s continued success has helped set a high benchmark for fashion and art in Samoa, establishing a foundation that resonates across the Pacific. The platform remains committed to strengthening this creative movement and believes that fashion and art present a promising niche for tourism within the region.
