Confident Tausala Samoa heads off to the Miss Pacific Competition

Apia, SAMOA – 6 February 2026 – Tausala Samoa, Miss Iliganoa Feagaimaali’i Soti, is confident, grounded, and fully prepared as she embarks on her journey to the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Fiji next week.
Speaking at the press conference at the Samoa Tourism Fale yesterday, Miss Samoa shared that her preparations have gone beyond outward appearance. She has been working closely with the Onomea Production team, focusing on both “physical and inner readiness.”
“My main focus for preparations is not only outer preparation, but also inner preparations that include strengthening my understanding of key Pacific Issues such as health, education, environment and digital media.
Feagaimaali’i wears the Miss Samoa crown with great responsibility and commitment.
“Anyone who wears the crown must be able and ready to take on the responsibility.” noting that she is prepared to face any challenges that may come with the title.
She also acknowledged the Miss Pacific Islands Theme, which focuses on Cyber Security, and highlighted the importance of understanding digital safety and awareness within Pacific communities.
The 23-year-old sociologist also shared that the words of encouragement from reigning Miss Pacific Islands, Litara Ieremia, have further motivated her.
The Miss Samoa also acknowledged her support team, God’s Grace throughout her journey, her parents and families, Onomea Production, Digicel Samoa and everyone who has supported her preparations.
Addressing the pressure often associated with pageantry, Miss Samoa said she feels the excitement rather than worry.
“I’m not worried or pressured. I’m feeling very excited to meet my Pageant sisters from across the Pacific” said Feagaimaali’i Soti. “I believe this is an opportunity for us to work together as Pacific nations for the development of our people.”
Miss Samoa Iliganoa Feagaimaali’i Soti and the Onomea team are flying out to Fiji this morning to participate in the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.
If crowned Miss Pacific Islands, Feagaimaali’i says her key focus areas will be education and youth empowerment, which she believes are vital for the future growth and strength of Pacific communities.
