New Principal for Marist Brothers’ Primary School, Mulivai

Apia, SAMOA – 06 May 2026 – The Marist Brothers Governance Board has appointed Mr Joeli Koroiravudi from Fiji to be the new Principal of Marist Brothers Primary School, Mulivai, Apia.

Mr Koroiravudi is a Marist old boy with over 25 years of experience in education. He is currently the Head Teacher of St Marcellin Primary School in Suva, Fiji.

Mr Koroiravudi was educated at Marist Brothers Primary School and Marist High School Suva before teacher’s college and university. He is married with 5 children. His wife is Mrs Sainiana Tuibenau Koroiravudi who is also a qualified teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience. She is currently teaching English in the Marist Champagnat Institute in Suva, Fiji.

According to Tuatagaloa Aumua Ming Leung Wai, the Marist Brothers Governance Board’s Chair, “Our main goal is to make our Marist schools institutions of excellence. We believe that Mr Koroiravudi is the right person for the job. He understands and will emphasize the value of the Marist Spirit, as that is what distinguishes our schools from other schools. He also sees his appointment as a “calling”. We wish Mr Koroiravudi all the best with his appointment.”

Mr Koroiravudi is looking forward to his appointment. “I am deeply honoured to take up this appointment in Samoa and look forward to working alongside the school community to support quality education, strengthen Marist values, and contribute positively to the growth and well-being of our students and staff.”

Mr Koroiravudi will move to Samoa with his wife and his youngest children to commence his new post as Principal in July 2026.

The Board also acknowledged Br Siaosi Ioane for being Principal of Marist Brothers Primary School for the past 9 years. Marist Primary has benefited under Br Siaosi’s leadership, particularly with strong solidarity amongst the staff and improvement of literacy with the students. Br Siaosi Ioane will take on the role of Coordinator of the Marist Brothers in Samoa.
