Congregational Christian Church of Samoa elects new Chairman

Apia, SAMOA – 25 May 2026: The Congregational Christian Church of Samoa (CCCS) has elected a new Chairman and a new Treasurer in the church’s General Assembly that ended at the church headquarters at Malua last Friday.
Reverend Assoc Professor Visesio Saga was elected Treasurer and replaces Reverend Melepone Isara who resigned as Treasurer to serve at the Sapapalii church.
CCC new Executive
Reverend Elder Palemia Tauiliili, who served as co-chairperson in 2025-2026, was elected as the new chairperson for 2026-2027.
He currently serves at Samalaeulu church in Savai’i.
Reverend Elder Enefatu Lesa, who served as Chairman last year is has been elected as Deputy Chair. He serves at Tanoalei’a, Vaivase-Uta EFKS church.
Reverend Dr. Taipisia Leilua was re-elected as the church General Secretary.
Reverend Assoc Professor Visesio Saga was elected Treasurer and Reverend Dr. Taipisia Leilua was re-elected as General Secretary.
The new Chairman, Reverend Elder Palemia Tauiliili delivered the final words to close the annual assembly and urged church members to remain patient and courageous amidst their weaknesses.
“Whatever area we serve in, despite worldly flaws, we must always turn to our Heavenly Father. We are servants of God, and our service must be rooted in faith and perseverance,” he said.
