Samoa Police Seek Help to Find Conner Strickert and an Arrest on Air New Zealand flight

Apia, SAMOA – 28 May 2026: The police have issued a public  notice asking the community for assistance in locating a 25 year old Asian man Conner Strickert.

Strickert is wanted for questioning on an ongoing investigation by police.

The notice is also urging Strickert to present himself at a near-by police outpost and the public is warned not to approach him if seen but to report to the police. The public is advised to inform the police at 22222 or 8422222 regarding any information of Connor whereabouts.

Arrest on Air New Zealand flight

In a separate incident last night, police arrested a local businessman at Faleolo International Airport.

According to reports, the businessman was already inside the Air New Zealand flight bound for New Zealand when police arrived and executed a warrant to arrest him.

It is suspected that the businessman is linked to a recent shooting in Vietnam where two Samoan men have confessed to the killing of another Samoan and both are currently under police custody in Vietnam.

There are also reports from a Government official that both men and a few prominent names have been under police surveillance radar for sometimes.

Police are yet to clarify whether Strickert and the arrest at Faleolo are linked as their investigation continues.
