Run4Samoa 2026 raises $50,000 for the Children of the Campus of Hope
Apia, SAMOA – 7 July 2026 – The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) proudly celebrates the successful completion of the Run4Samoa 2026, following an inspiring week-long journey across Upolu by the dedicated members of the A1 Training Club from Sydney, Australia.
The final day of the run, Saturday, 4 July, began at Le Uaina Resort, where the team embarked on the last stage of their incredible fundraising challenge. Despite suffering an injury earlier in the week, Richie once again demonstrated remarkable determination by starting an hour ahead of the rest of the team. As the kilometres passed, he gradually regained enough strength to begin running again, eventually taking his place at the front of the group and inspiring his teammates to keep moving forward.
By the final day, every runner was battling fatigue and aching bodies after hundreds of kilometres on the road. Yet their commitment to the children of the Campus of Hope never wavered. Their resilience, courage and teamwork became a powerful reminder that every step they took was for a greater purpose.
The week-long Run4Samoa campaign has successfully raised $50,000 for SVSG.
SVSG wishes to assure the people of Samoa and everyone who generously donated that 100% of the funds raised by the A1 Training Club will be used to support the children at the Campus of Hope, ensuring they receive the care, protection, education and resources they need to thrive. As part of SVSG’s commitment to transparency and accountability, a full acquittal report will be provided to our valued partner, the A1 Training Club, detailing how the funds are utilised.
To conclude the event, SVSG hosted a barbecue in appreciation of everyone who contributed to the success of the marathon. The gathering brought together members of the A1 Training Club, their families, the Ministry of Police, the Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA), the Samoa Red Cross, SVSG Board members and staff.
During the occasion, SVSG President Muliagatele Siliniu Lina Chang and Board Member Palepa Solaese officially accepted the fundraising proceeds on behalf of the organisation.
Speaking on behalf of the SVSG Board, the President and staff, Palepa Solaese expressed heartfelt gratitude to the A1 Training Club for choosing to support the children of the Campus of Hope through such a remarkable act of endurance and generosity.
She also acknowledged the many individuals, businesses and organisations whose sponsorships, donations and volunteer efforts made the event possible.
Special appreciation was extended to Skyeye for sponsoring the live tracking system that allowed supporters to follow the runners throughout the marathon, and to Vodafone Samoa for providing the connectivity and data that enabled SVSG to livestream the entire event to supporters both in Samoa and overseas.
SVSG also thanks the Samoa Police, FESA, the Samoa Red Cross, media organisations, sponsors, volunteers, families who welcomed the runners into their villages, donors from around the world, and every individual who stood roadside to cheer the team on. Your encouragement and generosity transformed this marathon into a true national effort for the protection and wellbeing of Samoa’s children.
Muliagatele said the success of Run4Samoa 2026 demonstrates what can be achieved when communities unite behind a shared purpose. Together, we have not only raised funds but also raised awareness of the work of the Campus of Hope and the importance of protecting the most vulnerable members of our society.
“From all of us at the Samoa Victim Support Group—Fa’afetai tele lava, Samoa. Your compassion, generosity and unwavering support continue to give hope to the children we serve.”
