Cabinet announces appointment of SNPF new CEO

Apia, SAMOA – 18 July 2026 – Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Lealali Faletoese Asaua as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa National Provident Fund [S.N.P.F.] for a three-year term.

Lealali is a highly accomplished finance professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the international, regional, and public sectors.

He holds a Master of Business Administration [Gold Medal] from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji, a Bachelor of Laws from U.S.P. Samoa, and a Bachelor of Business [Accounting] from Victoria University, Australia. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Samoa Institute of Accountants.

He succeeds Lemalu Selesitina Meni-Reti as Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa National Provident Fund.
