Government donates $30,000 to the Miss Samoa Pageant

Apia, SAMOA – 31 August 2026: The Government has donated $30,000 to assist with the staging of the Miss Samoa Pageant 2026/2027 as one of the events of the weeklong Measina Arts and Cultural Festival.

The donation was announced at the launch of the Miss Samoa Pageant at the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum at Vailima and the introduction of the 8 contestants who will be vying for the crown this Saturday.

This year’s pageant theme is “Ua Tālā Measina” and the official judging will start on Wednesday with the Premier Gala at the Measina Festival Variety Show in-front of the Government building.

There is one contestant from Australia and the pageant also welcomed Miss Samoa Hawaii who have not participated in the competition for some time.
