Apia, SAMOA – 3 November 2026 -The E3 Samoa Trust continues to boost digital education through another donation of equipment of laptops to the Nofoali‘i and Leulumoega Primary Schools.

This is part of their effort to expand access to digital education across Samoa by donating laptops and providing digital training to students and teachers to close to 50 primary schools and colleges in the country.

At the handover ceremony at Nofoali‘i Primary School, E3 Samoa Trust owner Papali‘i Togisala Tony Leota said the initiative, called “685 to the Digital World”, provides laptops to help teachers and students access online educational resources and build digital skills.

Papali’i emphasized that the initiative was established in 2019, the programme began in Savai‘i through a partnership with LiteHaus International and local companies Bluewave Wireless Samoa and Talamua Media.

“It aims to help close the digital divide by giving students greater access to online learning materials, digital tools and practical digital literacy workshops,” he said.

The donation was made possible through a request by the Minister of Communications and Information & Technology (MCIT), Agaseata Tanuvasa Valelio Peto who is also the Member of Parliament for A‘ana Alofi 3 where the schools are located.

As a former teacher and principal of Nofoali‘i Primary School, Agaseata said that it had helped him understand the challenges teachers and students face.

He said he hoped the laptops would help meet the growing demand for digital learning and address those challenges.

Agaseata described the devices as “powerful keys” that could open access to curriculum materials, online courses and interactive lessons.

He also encouraged students to care and utilise the equipment well while thanking Papali‘i, the Trust and its partners for supporting his proposal.

More benefits for Savaii schools
Last week, E3 Samoa Trust visited Savai’i where they donated 30 laptops to Salelologa Primary School and 40 to Mata‘aevave College.

The presentation to these schools was attended by Jack Growden, the Founder and CEO of LiteHaus International, an Australian non-profit organization focused on bridging the digital divide and providing equitable access to technology and education across the Asia-Pacific region.

This organization had donated a lot of the laptops and other digital equipment already presented to the other 50 schools in the country through E3 Samoa Trust.

“While the programme has made meaningful progress, more work remains to ensure schools in rural and remote communities can benefit from digital learning,” Papali’i said.
