APIA, SAMOA 03 MAY 2021:<\/strong> The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an explanation of where the 198 Chinese workers who arrived four days ago will work in Samoa.<\/p>\n

The group arrived on Thursday 29 April, on the charter flight arranged by the China Harbour Engineering Company, in collaboration with the Embassy of China.<\/p>\n

The MFA release said the charter was to bring the company\u2019s workers for the ADB funded Apia Port Safety project, the new Chinese embassy and the Police academy.<\/p>\n

The Forensic pathologist team will assist the courts and Ministry of Police in expediting the conclusion of outstanding cases requiring forensic analyses and subsequent release of bodies for burial.<\/p>\n

The flight also brought in technical experts for a number of other development projects for Samoa as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
