{"id":60609,"date":"2026-06-10T14:56:21","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T01:56:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/talamua.com\/?p=60609"},"modified":"2026-06-10T14:56:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T01:56:53","slug":"samoas-fuel-supply-remains-secure-under-amber-level-alert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/talamua.com\/?p=60609","title":{"rendered":"Samoa&#8217;s Fuel Supply Remains Secure Under Amber Level Alert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Apia, SAMOA \u2013 10 June 2026<\/strong> &#8211; The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) today confirmed that Samoa&#8217;s fuel supply remains secure.<\/p>\n<p>In their second press conference to update the public since declaring the Amber Level alert last week, Committee Chair Lealaisalanoa Francis Brown \u2013 Pogi said the amber level precautions remain in effect to ensure efficient fuel use and maintain preparedness.<\/p>\n<p>Lealaisalanoa said this is a proactive approach to manage the country\u2019s fuel reserves responsibly as the current reserve levels are above the Amber Level threshold.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the Committee was Leiataua Peter Ripley of PPS, the fuel supply contractor who confirmed that since the tanker topped up local supplies on 1 June 2026, Petrol supply is approximately for 40 days; Diesel: approx. 35 days and Kerosene\/Jet Fuel: approx. 64 days.<\/p>\n<p>He also confirmed that all scheduled future shipments remain on track to ensure maintaining supply continuity.<\/p>\n<p>Leiataua said that Samoa&#8217;s current fuel storage capability determines how much it can storage for a month.
