33rd Vailima Marist Sevens 2021 Set to Go

APIA, SAMOA – 26 FEBRUARY 2021: Sixteen Mens and 6 Womens local teams will compete in the 33rd Vailima Marist International Sevens 2021 at Park, over the next two days.

Day 1 kicks off tomorrow, Friday 26 February at 9.00am starting with the Women’s competition in two highly competitive pools.

The Men’s competition follows to be contested in a 16 team format with defending champions BBE Vaiala commencing proceedings against an abrasive Lulumaivini from Ulutogia.

The draw was released last night by the Marist St Joseph’s Sports Club President –  Faimalōmatumua Mathew Lemisio and Tournament Director – Taupa’ū Alex Mikaele during the Manager’s Meeting.

The tournament is expected to be a blockbuster display of talent, speed and power and all-out will to win Samoa’s premier rugby sevens event.

The tournament is expected to be played in wet and slippery conditions given the prevailing wet and rainy weather conditions.
