APIA, SAMOA – 15 FEBRUARY 2022: Members of Parliament as well as Chief Executive Officers of Government Ministries and the Legislative staff received their Covid-19 booster doses during the Parliament afternoon recess.

Health officials administered the booster doses after it was announced by the Speaker, Papalii Lio Oloipola Taeu Masipau at the start of parliament in the morning.

Prime Minister Fiame, Naomi Mataafa was among the first to take their booster doses.

The booster vaccination rollout is open for those who have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

To date, 97.3 percent of the eligible population have received their first doses of the Astrazeneca vaccine while 89.3 percent have been fully vaccinated according to a Ministry of Health update.
