STA Board to investigate complaints against the CEO

APIA, SAMOA – 18 FEBRUARY 2022: The complaints by several employees of the Samoa Tourism Authority made against the CEO, have been referred to the STA Board to investigate.

The Ministers of Public Enterprises and Tourism confirmed having received the complaints letters.

The Ministers met with the Board of the Authority yesterday, Thursday 17th February 2022 and have referred the matter to them for investigation.

A statement issued after the meeting said the complaints are from former and current staff of the Samoa Tourism Authority alleging misconduct of the CEO in carrying out his roles and responsibilities as the leader of the Organisation. Allegations vary from malice leadership and mismanagement of assets of the Authority.

The Ministers said the public will be informed once the investigation is completed.
