COVID UPDATE: Two more positive cases confirmed

APIA SAMOA – 14 MARCH 2022: A driver and a health worker are the latest confirmed Covid-19 positive cases. According to NEOC, the two new positive cases were identified in quarantine after follow up tests on close contacts of the health worker who tested positive on Friday, 11th March 2022.

They have been transferred to the isolation ward at Moto’otua, and they remain asymptomatic.

The latest cases bring the number of positive cases to 15 since the flight arrived on 06 March 2022. All are well and remain asymptomatic.

As the country remains on Level One Alert, NEOC is encouraging the public to wear masks, practice social distancing, and wash hands regularly. All Covid-19 Quarantine sites remain strictly prohibited.

The public, and especially those who have not done or completed their two shots of AstraZeneca, Pfizer and booster shots, are encouraged to do so.
