Salani car accident hospitalizes visiting Samoan family members

APIA, SAMOA – 14 NOVEMBER 2022: Three members of a Samoan family visiting from overseas are being treated in hospital for serious injuries sustained after the pickup they were travelling veered into a ravine at the acute Salani road bend yesterday morning.

Police say the family members were travelling in a pickup to visit family at Falealili when the incident happened.

Reports said an adult and two children were taken to the Poutasi hospital then transferred to the Motootua National Hospital for treatment.

Police would not confirm if there were any incidents related to the Toa o Samoa car rallies and celebrations following yesterday morning’s victory over England at the Rugby League World Rugby semifinals.
