Post Mortem Ordered on Death of Media Personality

APIA, SAMOA – 27 JANUARY 2023: The Coroner has ordered a post mortem on the death of media personality Aotearoa Pesamino Mayer.

Aotearoa was found dead at her home at Ululoloa last weekend and police are treating her case as a homicide.

The Police Deputy Commissioner, Papali’i Monalisa Keti said the operation will determine the cause of death.

“It is only then that we could determine what happened,” she said.

Aotearoa was the General Manager for Apia Broadcasting Company Ltd (TV3), and since the merge between TV3 and Radio Polynesia, she has divided her time in between.

She was also active in community activities including the Vaiala rugby team, canoeing and as a member of the SENESE Board.

Her sudden passing has shocked her media colleagues, relatives and friends. She was to represent Samoa at a Media & Marketing conference in Singapore next month.
