Official Opening of the American Corner Salelologa

Background:
The American Corner Salelologa is the second American education focused space set up in Samoa, the first was officially opened in October 2010 at the Nelson Memorial Public Library in Apia to provide literacy and general library resources to the public. The Amercian Corner in Salelologa will be fully furnished with desks, chairs, bookshelves and reading resources, with free internet and 5 new computers.
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture will facilitate the Corner and its daily operations with guidance from the U.S. Embassy on various educational programs, which will include reading, English tutorials and highlighting special events.
The American Corner Salelologa ribbon cutting will be conducted by U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa, H.E. Mr. Thomas Stewart Udall and the Minister of Education, Sports and Culture, Hon. Seuula loane.
