NZ Foreign Minister and Pacific Peoples Minister to visit Samoa this week

New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Winston Peters and the Minister for Health and Pacific Peoples Dr Shane Reti are visiting Samoa this Friday.

Peters’ and delegation will meet with Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa and attend the local celebration of Waitangi Day hosted by newly designated High Commissioner, Si’alei van Toor.

Apia is the delegations last stop under its Pacific Mission having visited Tonga on Tuesday night and met the Kingdoms Acting Prime Minister, Samiuela Vaipulu.

The delegation will depart for Rarotonga to meet Cook Islands Prime Minister Mark Brown on Thursday.

Health Minister Dr Reti is also having discussions with health officials in the three countries on New Zealand’s role in delivering long-term health goals.
