Apia, 01 July 2024 – The Soifua Manuia Mission health partnership between the Samoan Government and the US Embassy has returned to bolster healthcare initiatives across Samoa.

The partnership starts July 1 – 11 to advance healthcare accessibility and community wellness throughout Samoa and five hospitals across Samoa will collaborate with the mission, working closely with the Ministry of Health.

Today, the Soifua Manuia Mission is launching a free outreach program on Manono Island, providing residents with advanced healthcare services, including medical consultations, screenings, and preventive care.

Additionally, emergency Medical Services (EMS) training sessions will be held with the Samoa Fire and Emergency Services Authority. This project will enhance emergency response capabilities across Samoa and equip professionals and volunteers to handle critical situations.

“We are delighted to have the Soifua Manuia Mission return to Samoa and partner with the Government of Samoa in these vital healthcare initiatives,” said Charge d’Affaires Noriko Horiuchi.

“Through collaborative efforts, we strive to make a lasting impact on public health, empower healthcare professionals, and support communities in achieving healthier, happier lives.”
