Fuel Retail Prices Up for September

Apia, Samoa – 01 September 2024 – Retail prices for petrol and diesel are up for September while kerosene decreases.

Petrol is up by 6.6 sene per litre from $3.11 last month to $3.17 per litre and diesel increases by 1.8 sene per litre, from $3.25 to $3.27 per litre. Kerosene drops by 1.8sene per litre from $2.88 to $2.86 per litre.

The new prices announced last night by the Minister of Finance, are based on the July Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) marker prices.

The Minster said that some stability has returned to the crude oil and refined product markets with adverse political and economic forecasts seeming to cancel each other out.

He said it could be expected that this stability in pricing may continue, at least in the short term.
