Why are we still silent?

If we witness injustice, why are we afraid to speak up? As members of society, we have a fundamental right to seek justice.
It is deeply saddening that even today we often remain silent. It is especially troubling when our elders or parents discourage us from speaking out about issues affecting our mothers, sisters, and children and loved ones.
Violence in all its darkest forms, runs rampant in today’s world.
Although we have laws and awareness programmes addressing these heinous acts, they often fail to hear or respond to the cries for help.
Emotions remain bottled up, and no one willingly comes forward, leaving their cries to turn into silent tears in the night.
Why, then, are we still silent?
