Samoan wrestlers return with 5 Golds

Apia, Samoa – 25 March 2025 – The Samoa Wrestling Team return home today after an awesome performance at the Oceania Wrestling Championships in Pago last week. Samoa won 5 Gold Medals and 2 Silvers.

Final Results
Shane Palemia won 3 Gold Medals in the Mens 97kg division.
Gaku Akazawa won 2 Golds and 1 Silver having defeated contestants from Australia and New Zealand. Jeremiah Tipamaa also added 1 Silver to the Medal tally.
